QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A fire late Friday afternoon in Branch County damaged a pole barn in Algansee Township. The Quincy Fire Department got the call shortly before 6 pm to respond to 827 Crauns Lane. They found the structure not far from a trailer home filled with flames. The Coldwater Fire Department was notified of the need for mutual aid and by 6:30, firefighters from the two units had the blaze under control. They were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the trailer and it wasn’t damaged. No information was available on the cause of the fire. The Quincy Fire Department was on the job until 8:30 last night.
