COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Community Health Center of Branch County would like to announce that the new Medical Director of the Wound Healing Center is Dr. Tariq Abdelkarim. Dr. Abdelkarim is no stranger to CHC and has been part of the physician team since 2012. In addition to the wound center, he specializes in Pulmonology Disease Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Abdelkarim completed his residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, as well as three additional years of fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Abdelkarim is an advocate for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and according to CHC officials, a champion for all wound care patients.
