LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Friday is Patriot Day 2015 and National Day of Service and Remembrance on this 14th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks. Thursday in Lansing, two firefighters from Branch County’s Lakeland Fire Department, Robert and Jody Lewis and a local Lifecare Ambulance EMT Cory Aulbach were on the Michigan House floor for a September 11th memorial service.
They were hosted by 58th District Representative Eric Leutheuser as the names of 14 first responders and servicemen from Michigan who died in the line of duty during the past year were read during the ceremony.
Governor Snyder has ordered state flag to half-staff today in honor of Patriot Day.
