It’s a rain-free but chilly forecast for tonight’s football games and Coldwater will be playing at home for the first time this year when they take on the Pennfield Panthers in the Interstate Eight Conference contest that kicks off at 7 p.m. The Cardinal’s August 28 scheduled opener at home against Hastings had to be moved to Trine University in Angola, Indiana because the turf field project in Coldwater wasn’t finished in time to open the season.
The Cardinals have a 2-0 record following wins over Hastings and Marshall while Pennfield is 1-and-1, losing last week to Parma Western after a victory over Parchment. Our live coverage of tonight’s game on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 begins with the pregame show at 6:30 p.m. You can also listen on-line with the audio streaming here at wtvbam.com.
Elsewhere on the schedule, in the Big Eight, it’s Quincy at Jonesville while the tradition of the annual Little Brown Jug game continues with Union City at Athens. Also, Bronson is at Parchment and in 8-Man football, Tekonsha is at home against Battle Creek St. Philip.
