BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Bronson City Police are investigating a break-in that happened early Monday at the Bronson Viking Express Clark Station on West Chicago Road. The first alarm came in around 2:15 a.m. with a Michigan State Police Trooper responding as the Bronson City officer was busy at the time making an arrest.
The trooper found the building’s doors and windows secure and the alarm was reset. However, a short while later, an employee opening up the store for the day discovered damage to the interior of the business. It was discovered that someone had cut a hole in the wall behind a large overgrown bush which police said concealed the crime earlier in the morning.
It’s not believed any items were stolen but there was substantial damage done to the electronics of the store’s operational system. State Police assisted Bronson Police in processing the scene for evidence.
Anyone who might have been in the area of the Clark Station in Bronson on West Chicago Road around 2:15 a.m. Monday and possibly witnessed possible suspects or vehicles should contact the Bronson Police Department.
