SEATTLE, WA (WTVB) – The Detroit Lions hope to avoid an 0-4 start for the first time since 2010 when they play tonight at Seattle on “Monday Night Football”. The Lions rank last in the league in rushing at just 45 yards per game while the Seahawks’ top runner Marshawn Lynch is out with a hamstring injury. Out for Detroit with injuries are running back Joique Bell, linebacker DeAndre Levy and tight end Brendon Pettigrew. Seattle is 1-2 after they blanked the Bears 26-0 last Sunday.
The Lions are alone in last place in the NFC North after Chicago picked up their first win as the Bears got by the Oakland Raiders yesterday 22-20 at Soldier Field. First place Green Bay improved to 4-0 by winning 17-3 at San Francisco. Second place Minnesota slipped to 2-2 by losing 23-20 at Denver as the Broncos are 4-0 and one of the six undefeated teams left in the NFL. In the late game last night, the Saints beat the Dallas Cowboys 26-20 in overtime in New Orleans.
