COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The improving economy in Michigan could make this the right time to begin a venture or expand an existing business and the City of Coldwater has a fund to lend a helping hand. The city this week is hosting a workshop put on by the Great Lakes Capital Fund to explain how to access over $700,000 in funding from the City’s Revolving Loan Fund.
Anyone wishing to start a business who is in need of working capital or an existing business looking to expand would benefit from this workshop. The city has also invited all the local banks to make sure they know the program is available.
The city has until the end of 2016 next year to show loan activity or the funds might be pulled and redistributed across the state.
The workshop is Thursday at 10 a.m. in the City Council chambers. Anyone interested in attending should RSVP to Joan Sherman at jsherman@coldwater.org. Coldwater City Manager Jeff Budd has included the information in his report to the City Council which meets tonight in regular session for the first of its two October sessions.
