COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Two decades of helping homeless teens in Branch County was recognized in ceremonies last night in Coldwater. Altrusa Teen Share began operations 20 years ago and then later came under the banner of BCCADV, the Branch County Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The event at the Community Health Center of Branch County Community Care and Cancer Center included the presentation of a pair of special blue ribbon awards handed out by Patti DeGroot, a member of the Board of Directors of the BCCADV. First on the list this year was Jan Storrs with a long list of giving accomplishments as a past Coalition president and Board member and as well as being instrumental in starting Teen Share, which is now again under her direction.
Also receiving an award was Dave Nagle for his years of helping raise thousands of dollars in various events for the Branch County Coalition against Domestic Violence.
