LANSING, MI (WTVB) – It appears state prison workers in Coldwater and around the state are close to having a new contract they could vote on. The Michigan State Employees Association and the Michigan Corrections Organizations have both posted statements on their websites announcing tentative deals on new collective bargaining agreements with state government.
The MCO leadership endorsed a one-year pact on wages and health care, with three-year deals on other matters. The MSEA disclosed no details of their bargaining success, and there has been no confirmation by the Office of the State Employer on any tentative pact, as it is bargaining separately with all of its unions on new deals.
