COLDWATER,MI (WTVB) – The proposed sale of the Community Health Center of Branch County to a Toledo based non-profit group is the subject of a public meeting tonight in Coldwater. The CHC Board of Trustees is holding its regular Education session at 5:30 p.m. Monday to review its strategic planning on the proposed deal with ProMedica Health Systems. The meeting is at the hospital’s Community Care and Conference Center.
The CHC administration is aiming to have the hospital acquired by January 1, 2016. Any sale, which would be structured over 3 years, first needs approval from Branch County Commissioners. According to CHC President and CEO Randy DeGroot, if there’s a positive outcome tonight, the Board of Trustees would take up the question at its October 26 meeting and then it could possibly be forwarded to County Commissioners for consideration in November.
