BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Four people were hurt Sunday in Branch County when a LifeCare ambulance rear-ended a car on U.S. 12 in Batavia Township. None of the injuries were believed to life threatening.
A Sheriff’s Department news release said both vehicles were westbound when the Dodge sedan with 48-year old Brenda Kay Dillon of Coldwater behind the wheel slowed down to turn left onto Log Road and was struck from behind by the ambulance, driven by 26-year old Christopher Morgan of Battle Creek. A passenger in the car was identified as 56-year old Keith Mundy of Coldwater while the paramedic in the ambulance was 24 year old Michael Spencer of Coldwater. The two from the car were taken by family to the Community Health Center of Branch County for treatment while those in the ambulance were transported to CHC by LifeCare.
The accident happened around 9:20 a.m. Sunday and remains under investigation. Also assisting at the scene were Michigan State Police, Bronson City Police and the Bronson Fire Department.
