COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Community Health Center of Branch County Board of Trustees tonight has an agenda for its regular October meeting that includes the hospital board considering approval of CHC’s strategic partnership agreement with Toledo-based ProMedica Health Systems. If adopted, the management agreement with the non-profit firm would be forwarded for possible passage next month by the Branch County Board of Commissioners, which has the final say on the proposal that ultimately calls for the sale of the county-owned hospital in Coldwater to ProMedica.
The acquisition would be completed by the end of 2018 or maybe earlier if the right conditions prevail. ProMedica has a total of 13 hospital facilities in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan with $3 billion in revenues and 16,000 employees.
