COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There was a roof fire at the Coldwater Pizza Hut this morning. The alarm for the restaurant on East Chicago Street came in around 8:20 a.m. when someone saw smoke and flames at the south rear of the building where two men from a heating and cooling contractor were also observed on the roof. They escaped without injury.
Coldwater firefighters cut a hole in the roof near the H-VAC units to extinguish the blaze which was quickly brought under control. The fire department cleared the scene at 10 a.m.
No word yet on the exact cause of the fire or the extent of damage.
