COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Congratulations to Jay Johnson of Coldwater, who was the recipient last night of the Paul Harris Award, the highest honor bestowed on members of the Coldwater Noon Rotary Club. Johnson is the latest in a long list of noteworthy recipients chosen for the Paul Harris Fellow and it brings a donation of $1,000 from the club in Johnson’s name to the Coldwater Rotary Foundation. The recognition came at a Friday night banquet and the award is named for the founder of Rotary International. Johnson is the 48th member of Coldwater Noon Rotary selected for the honor given to those in the club who best exemplify the organization’s motto of service above self. It should be noted that while other Rotary Clubs allow their members to purchase their Paul Harris fellowships, the Noon Rotary in Coldwater continues its tradition of selecting their award winners based on merit and their service to the community.
