BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Air National Guard Base in Battle Creek is one of four in the nation that have been chosen for Cyber Operation Squadrons, helping the U.S. battle cyber terrorists and hackers who may present one of the greatest national security threats the U.S. now faces.
Michigan U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow says there is already a pilot Cyber Security Operation at the base that will be expanded. It’s no guarantee that the Air National Guard Base in Battle Creek will survive the next round of base closings, but it gives the Pentagon and Michigan’s Congressional delegation another good argument for keeping it open.
