BENTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – More honors for the Branch Area Careers Center Culinary Arts Program, as team “Tordue” earned runner-up honors at last Friday’s Lake Michigan College High School Hospitality and Culinary Chili Cook-Off. A total of five teams from southwest Michigan used portable butane burners to prepare their best chili and cornbread recipes from scratch, and the BACC team finished just behind a team from KRESA Culinary Arts in Kalamazoo for top honors.
Representing BACC were Shawn Johnson of Coldwater, Larry Peppers from Colon, and Elizabeth Avra and Breanna Baker from Bronson, along with advisor Kristen Dogan.
