COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In Branch County high school sports, there was only one varsity event yesterday with the Coldwater wrestling team competing at the Pinckney Invitational. Final results from the tournament are unavailable other than at least one victory for Coldwater as the Cardinals defeated Hartland 40-39.
Winners for Coldwater were Jacob Armstrong, Shuaib Aljabaly, Faheem Abdullah, Ezra Lewis, Zach Miller, Sam DeMeester, and Austin Rutz. The Cardinals next meet is January 6 at Harper Creek.
High school sports for Branch County teams takes a holiday break now until next week when there’s limited boys and girls basketball action with the schedule then starting to get busy again for the rest of the teams in the first week in January.
