COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In Branch County high school sports, there are no events scheduled for today as the New Year is underway with classes resuming this morning following the 2 week holiday break. The action picks up tomorrow, including Coldwater boys and girls basketball as the Cardinals take on Kalamazoo Loy Norrix with the girls at home and the boys travelling to Kalamazoo and we’ll have the boys game on the radio Tuesday night. Bronson won the Hastings Invitational on Saturday, beating 7 other teams in the tournament with a total of 214 points in the victory. Charlotte finished a distant second with 169.5 points. Going 3-0 on the day and winning their weight divisions for Bronson were Jacob Butters, David Erwin, and Joey Losinski. The Vikings next match is Wednesday with a BCS quad meet at Buchanan.
