EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan High School Athletic Association announced the names of the 120 finalists for the MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award that will be competing for 32 $1000 college scholarships. Three of the finalists hail from Branch County: Coldwater senior Brendan Spangler and Bronson seniors Daniel McMichael and Alexa Ratkowski. The winners will be announced next month and honored during the MHSAA Boys Basketball Finals in March.
