COLDWATER, MI (WTVB0) – There’s no change in the officers for the coming year for the Coldwater Board of Education which held its annual organizational meeting last night prior to the regular January school board session. Ed Lake is school board President, Jim Hiscock, Vice President, Clair Dean, Treasurer, and Jean Milnes, Secretary.
Positive money reports given by Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer Dr. Terry Boguth were included in the amended 2015-16 general fund budget approved last night. Revenues totaling $25.3 million were up $723,000. The increase allowed for a fund balance of $4.6 million dollars or 18.7%.
The improved rainy day fund performance was 4% greater than what had been projected in the district’s spending plan.
