COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Conservation District has announced their upcoming 68th Annual Meeting and 10th Conservation EXPO to be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Branch Area Career Center, 366 Morse St. Coldwater, MI, 49036, from 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Walter Pett, Apiculture and Pollination Specialist from the MSU Department of Entomology. Dr. Pett will discuss “Bee Facts and Health/Decline of Honey Bees in the USA”.
The Branch Conservation District will be holding their meeting in conjunction with our 10th Conservation EXPO, which includes four additional speakers covering Chronic Wasting in Deer, Chad Stewart, MDNR; Controlling Invasive Species in Wildlife Habitats, Daniel Zay, USDA – NRCS; Wildlife Habitat Program, Sarah Topp—MUCC; and Local Walnut Food Markets & Projects, Brian Huggett, Potawatomi RC&D. The events will run from 9am until 2:30 pm, with lunch provided.
