COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – On behalf of the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce, thank you to the businesses & community for the amazing show of support for Icefest 2016. The day started with 17 ice blocks delivered to our sponsoring businesses followed by two live carvings sponsored by Michigan Gas & Wal-mart Distribution Center that drew crowds in the hundreds.
Businesses embraced the rock-n-roll theme by decorating their storefront windows and offering “cool” specials!! Area knitters decorated trees downtown in keeping with the theme for an event called “yarn bombing”. There were kids crafts, local artists on display and specials throughout the downtown. With so much to do, downtown was packed from morning until night and at times, businesses were shoulder to shoulder with customers, soup tasters and pub crawlers.
And now… (drumroll please) as we announce the winners of this years soup and chili cookoff!!! 147 ballots were tallied and the “people choice” winners are…

We’re also thrilled to announce that the first annual United Way Charity Pub Crawl raised $1,000. The Chamber of Commerce will deliver a check to United Way this week. Thank you to the nearly 300 crawlers who supported this event (it was a blast)!!
