QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy Township Assessor Erica Ewers has issued a reminder to all commercial and industrial personal property filers whose true cash value is less than $80,000 that the deadline for filing the affidavit to claim a small business tax exemption is a week from tomorrow, Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
Form 5076 has to be filed every year in order to obtain the exemption. The form was included in the yellow envelop you would have received and is the first page of the packet of information.
Ewers says complete the front form of the packet, tear off, and return it to her office: Erica Ewers, Quincy Township Assessor, 1048 Campbell Road, Quincy, MI 49082. If you have over $80,000 true cash value or don’t meet the requirements for the exemption then you need to complete the form or forms that apply to your business and return by February 20.
