BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson community has been dealt a major economic blow with word coming down yesterday afternoon that Bronson Precision Products will be closing up shop in March leaving 125 people out of work. The parent company, Royal Oak Industries, based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, informed the state of the closure, saying it’s happening because they were unable to locate the additional capital needed to avoid the shutdown. The firm’s website says they make products for the powertrain, medical, defense, and gas industries. Rumors of the closing picked up speed at the beginning of the week in Bronson but still caught many by surprise when the announcement became official Tuesday.
