COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Pursuing a career in healthcare? The Community Health Center of Branch County (CHC) Volunteers can help. The CHC Volunteers are offering two $1,000.00 scholarships. Applications are now available at the CHC marketing/volunteer services department and in the counseling offices of all Branch County high schools and local colleges. Applications are due no later than March 11, 2016, and winners will be announced by April 11, 2016
The purpose of the scholarship is to financially assist full or part-time students pursuing or completing a health-related career. Former recipients are eligible to reapply. The scholarships are only available to Branch County residents and CHC employees, and may be used for tuition, books, or other education-related expenses. To be considered, the application must be completed in full, along with one letter of reference.
Two $1000 scholarships will be awarded to individuals whose applications meet all the requirements. The recipients will be recognized at the annual CHC Volunteer Installation Luncheon on May 11, 2016. For more information about the scholarships, please call 517-279-5254.
The CHC volunteer program consists of over 120 volunteers who volunteered over 11,081.80 hours in 2015. Volunteers assist at the welcome desk, mailroom, CHC Lobby Gift Shop, the CHC Cancer Center, facility operations, and many other areas. CHC volunteers are always looking for others to join the team.
