COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In Branch County high school sports, it’s time to play catchup on the schedule after two days of snowstorm cancellations and postponements on Wednesday and Thursday. Some of last night’s basketball games that were called off will happen tonight while others that were non-conference or reserve contests won’t be made up.
Tonight’s Coldwater girls and boys Varsity Interstate 8 basketball games at Charlotte will air on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB live coverage beginning around 5:30 p.m. The girls tip-off is set for 6 p.m. and will follow the JV girls game that starts at 4 p.m. The varsity boys action will finish off the evening at around 7:30 p.m.
Tonight in the Big 8, there are girls and boys games after last night’s girls contests were postponed. At Quincy, it’s Parents Night with the Orioles hosting Concord while Union City is at Homer. In a Boys only game, Bronson hosts Cassopolis.
In varsity bowling, it’s the MHSAA Regionals this weekend with the team matches today and the singles tomorrow. Coldwater is competing in Division 2 at Continental Lanes in Kalamazoo while in Division 4 the Bronson Boys team is at Pinz in Kalamazoo.
