COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter had their DAR Good Citizen program February 27, 2016 at the Hillsdale First United Methodist Church.There were eleven senior Good Citizen winners from the High Schools of Branch & Hillsdale Counties.
The winners and schools they are from are: Michael Gonzales-Will Carleton Academy, David Dau- Reading High School, Courtney Moore-Pittsford High School, Joseph Musselman-Pansophia Academy, Jordan Johnston-Jonesville High School, Sarah Kempa-Hillsdale High School, Brendan Spangler-Coldwater High School, Austin Hostetter-Camden-Frontier High School, Olivia Carman-Quincy High School, Aurora Cortez Estrada- Bronson High School and Anna Jenkins-Hillsdale Academy.
Each student received a DAR Good Citizen pin and a Certificate. Anna Jenkins was the top winner for for the Coldwater chapter, also received a check from the chapter.
Three of the DAR Good Citizens were present along with their parents and friends to receive their certificates.
After the awards were presented a special program was presented by Abigail Kosachuk, she portrayed Abigail Adams, she spoke about Abigail’s life with her husband John Adams and the History of the Continental Army during it’s early formation .
