COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Community Health Center of Branch County (CHC) honored employees at the annual Employee Recognition Banquet on February 16, 2016. In addition to dinner the Employees of the Month were recognized, the Employee of the Year announced, and employees honored for their years of service.
“The Employee Recognition Banquet allows us to take the opportunity to recognize those employees that have made a commitment to CHC and the community with their long-term employment at CHC,” said Amy Jensen, Human Resource Director. “I think that people find it comforting to come to the hospital and see a familiar face; we truly are about neighbors taking care of neighbors.”

Julie VanBuskirk was named Employee of the Year. Julie was hired August 17, 1998, as a Registered Nurse. She moved to CCU in 1999 and then to the position of Administrative Supervisor in 2014. Her nursing and leadership skills are an excellent example of what every nurse should strive for and hope to someday achieve. She is empathetic and caring towards patients and fellow employees alike. She exhibits an array of critical thinking and problem-solving abilities at all times. She accommodates the needs of the staff even on the busiest of nights and makes herself available regardless of how chaotic and stressful the shift may be. She is such a valuable asset as a fellow team member and supervisor. Congratulations to those who were honored and Julie VanBuskirk for receiving Employee of the Year.
