KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – His condition has not been released but a 7 year old boy was injured and admitted to Bronson Methodist Hospital after a branch fell on him Wednesday afternoon.
The boy had just gotten off a Kalamazoo Public School bus and was walking home in windy conditions near the corner of Wallace and Kenilworth when the large branch broke off a dead tree and fell on him, knocking him to the ground.
Fortunately he was pinned but not crushed by the large branch.
He was kept motionless underneath the branch until it could be removed so his neck could be stabilized by EMT’s as a precaution before he was transported.
