HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – A Hillsdale man entered a no-contest plea to involuntary manslaughter on Thursday in Hillsdale County District Court in connection with the January death of a North Adams resident. 29-year-old Steven Francis Swan is scheduled to be sentenced on April 25th after the case was bound over to Circuit Court. The defendant waived his right to a preliminary exam on Thursday.
Swan is looking at a sentence of up to 15 years for the death of 67-year-old Gary Arsenault on January 9, 2016. Swan was accused by authorities of throwing Arsenault to the floor during a party.
