THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police say they have recovered the gun that was used to kill Phillip Feek Junior of Three Rivers, and they got it from a Kalamazoo teen. Feek’s body was found about ten months after he was killed by that gun, in his parents former home in Three Rivers. By then suspected drug addicts had looted the place.
Two of those suspected drug addicts are now in custody, charged with home invasion, vehicle theft, and not reporting a dead body. 53 year old Steven Stoner of Three Rivers and 37 year old Tracy Scott of Kalamazoo are being held in the St. Joseph County Jail.
The gun was recovered by Kalamazoo Public Safety from a juvenile who had tried to use it to shoot another teen in February 2016.
Michigan State Police say they don’t know if Feek killed himself or was murdered, but they are trying to make that determination. They say that Stoner and Scott were the last two who saw him alive.
