COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – City Manager Jeff Budd is expected to give the City Council an update on various construction projects Monday night.
A memo in the Council packet which has been posted on the city’s web site indicates that the repaving of a portion of Grand Street is tentatively scheduled to start April 18th.
Crews will be putting down an asphalt overlay on Grand between Cardinal Drive and Narrows Road.
The work is expected to take about a month and it is being coordinated through the Branch County Road Commission. The city and the Road Commission are splitting the costs.
Meanwhile, rehabilitation work on the Jefferson Street Bridge is tentatively scheduled to start Monday.
The bridge is expected to re-open by mid July but the contractor thinks the work will get done sooner than that.
Budd also reports pre-construction meetings for the Clemens infrastructure projects are scheduled for next week.
Actual construction work will then commence in earnest according to Budd.
