COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education looking at a possible ballot proposal for a bond vote in May 2017, school officials want to hear from taxpayers in the district.
A public meeting will be held Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Legg Middle School, which school officials say will serve as a catalyst for identifying the potential scope of the bond.
According to information that has been distributed in flyers and posted on the districts web site, the district is seeking ways to address aging buildings. The aging school infrastructure has placed increasing need for the use of general fund money for maintenance and repairs.
Officials say the process is intended to be open and transparent. All viewpoints will be heard.
