QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy Community Schools will be hosting two meetings over the next week to get feedback from parents on the possibility of early releases starting with the 2016-17 school year.
The meetings will take place Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm at Jennings Elementary School.
The Monday session will be before the Quincy School Board meeting.
Quincy Superintendent Craig Artist says the purpose of students being released early is to give teachers time to become more effective.
Artist says they would have to be in line with neighboring districts.
Information will be gathered over the next month and a decision on early releases for next year is scheduled to be made during the May Quincy School Board meeting.
