THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – A Kalamazoo woman was killed Saturday in a two car collision in St. Joseph County.
Michigan State Police say that 64-year-old Keith Lewis of Three Rivers was southbound on U.S. 131 at about 2:20pm Saturday afternoon when he tried to turn east onto North Main in Lockport Township.
His Oldsmobile crossed right into the path of an oncoming Chevy driven by 53-year-old Michael Bender of Sturgis.
Bender’s car hit the Olds on the passenger side. Bender was not injured. Lewis was transported to Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo and admitted with non-life threatening injuries. His passenger, Patricia Buelow of Kalamazoo was dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
