COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Community School officials want to hear from taxpayers in the district about a bond proposal that would possibly be on the ballot in May of 2017.
A public meeting will be held Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Legg Middle School.
Superintendent Terry Boguth wants to hear from the community why a previous bond question was voted down.
Boguth says they plan to go through what they have been to accomplish through the QZAB bond from the State of Michigan.
When asked if a replacement for Lakeland Elementary School was still in play, Boguth said they will listen to the community.
According to information that has been distributed in flyers and posted on the districts web site, the district is seeking ways to address aging buildings. The aging school infrastructure has placed increasing need for the use of general fund money for maintenance and repairs.
