BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – A paramedic with Life Care Ambulance was recently presented with the Star of Life Award from the American Ambulance Association in Washington, D.C..
Darrell Mahrle was given the highest honor an Emergency Medical Service worker can receive.
He has worked for Life Care since 2006. Mahrle obtained his EMT and paramedic certifications from Kellogg Community College.
He was nominated by his peers for his dedication to helping new employees.
Mahrle was also recognized for the caring manner in which he interacts with EMS students while they are doing their clinical ride along’s on the ambulances.
Life Care Ambulance serves Branch and six other counties in south central Michigan.
