LANSING, MI (WTVB) – The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency recently received the 2016 Jean Chabut Health Policy Champions Award during a ceremony at the State Capital in Lansing.
This award, along with a special legislative tribute, were presented by State Representatives Aaron Miller and Eric Leutheuser during the Michigan Public Health Week Ceremonies.
The department was honored for its emergency preparedness capabilities as demonstrated by their completion of Project Public Health Ready.
The health department says they are part of about 400 health departments nationwide who have met the standards of the program since 2004.
