ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A mobile home fire near Silver Lake west of Angola on Sunday morning caused nearly $17,000 worth of damage.
The Angola Fire Department says the blaze at the Sandra Torres residence at 4305 West U.S. 20 Lot 80 was reported at about 9:40am. The fire was called under control about 20 minutes later.
The first units on the scene were greeted by heavy smoke and fire coming from the living room area.
The cause of the fire at the 14 x 70 mobile home was determined to be accidental in nature. Heavy smoke damage was reported throughout the residence. No injuries were reported.
Angola firefighters were assisted by Pleasant Lake crews, Steuben County E.M.S., the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department and the American Red Cross. Fremont firefighters stood by at the Angola Fire Station.
