COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The filing deadline for the August 2, 2016 primary ballot has passed and there will be three contested races in the Republican Primary for Branch County Board of Commissioner seats.
District One Commissioner Rod Olney will be challenged by Terri Norris, Chad Everett is running against Leonard Kolcz in District Two while District Four Commissioner Jon Houtz will be challenged by Ted Gordon.
Second District Commissioner Dale Swift is not seeking another term while Third District Commissioner Don Vrablic and Fifth District Commissioner Randall Hazelbaker are running unopposed.
Sheriff John Pollack will be facing a challenge in the Republican Primary from Cailean Gee.
Republican incumbents running unopposed are County Clerk Terry Ann Kubasiak, Drain Commissioner Michael Hard, Prosecutor Ralph Kimble, Register of Deeds Nancy Hutchins and Treasurer Ann Vrablic.
There are no county Democratic candidates.
