COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Jeff Budd is expected to bring to the City Council the final budget amendments for the upcoming fiscal year on Monday night.
Budd says the amendments will lead to a projected surplus of $82,000 after a budget adopted at the start of the fiscal year had a deficit of $181,000.
In a memo to the City Council and Mayor Tom Kramer, Budd says they have increased their original estimate of the permit revenue due to fees resulting from the start of construction of the Clemens Plant.
The budget has also been reduced to match the most recent estimates provided by the state of revenue sharing which will be lower than earlier estimates.
The planned purchase of a fire truck as well as new voting equipment has been moved to another year.
Also on Monday night, the City Council will review a report on fire apparatus that serve Coldwater, Coldwater Township and Girard Township.
Emergency Vehicle Response Fire Protection Services is recommending a 1992 ladder truck, a 1990 pumper truck and a 1985 grass rig truck be upgraded or replaced.
