COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Due to inclement weather, Coldwater High School Varsity and Junior Varsity baseball and girls softball games against Harper Creek were cancelled on Tuesday. Varsity softball at Harper Creek and J.V. baseball/softball at home vs. Harper will be made up on Wednesday. Varsity baseball at Harper Creek has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 19.
Coldwater varsity and J.V. girls tennis at Battle Creek Pennfield was rescheduled for Wednesday. Legg Middle School tennis at Lumen Christi was cancelled with no makeup date set.
Bronson varsity baseball and girls softball games against Centreville were postponed until Wednesday.
Union City Junior Varsity baseball and girls softball games with Jonesville were postponed until Friday at 4:00 p.m.

Union City 12, Jonesville 1
Winning pitcher Seth Bruce struck out six in six innings of work. He also collected two hits and drove in two runs to help his own cause. Eli Way, Blade Gordon and Colin Kreger all drove in two runs for the Chargers as they improved to 13-8-1 overall and 7-2 in the Big 8. The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was suspended after four innings with Jonesville leading 7-0. The game is scheduled to be completed on Friday.

First game winning pitcher Hannah Econonmou tossed a one hitter in the opener. She also homered in the nightcap and drove in four runs. Meghan Parshall had two hits including a double in the first game. Taylor Todd also had two hits. Quincy is now 17-7 overall and 8-2 in the Big 8.
—BOYS GOLF—
Bronson finished fifth at the BCS East Jamboree played at Klinger Lake Golf Club on Monday. Comstock won the meet. Brandon Hyska led the Vikings with a 48.
—BOYS TRACK—
Coldwater 85, Marshall 78
With the win, Coldwater improved to 4-2 in the Interstate 8 Conference. Coldwater winners were Zack Murphy in the 1600 and 3200, Connor Covert in the shot put and discus, Shuaib Aljabaly in the 800, Jacob Beckhusen in the 110 hurdles and Haroon Aljabaly in the 300 hurdles. The Cardinals finished first in the 3200 relay.

Marshall 117, Coldwater 42
Claire Sheppard won the 100 hurdles and long jump. Other Coldwater first place finishers were Allison Butler in the 100, Addison Harvey in the long jump, Kaci White in the shot put and Jordan Bouse in the discus.
—MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK—
The Boys Track team lost to Western last Thursday. Individual victories included Kyle Foulk taking 1st place in the 3200 and 1600 Jaxon Janusz took 2nd in the 55 meter and 200 meter hurdles. Matt Gipple took 2nd place in the 100 meter and 200 meter dash. The Relay team of Matt Gipple, Spencer Rodesiler, Angel Sereno, and Dylan Targgart took first in the 400. Ethan Massey took first place in the pole vault while Dylan Targgart won the shot put.
The Girls team also lost to Western. Individual victories included Elka Machan winning the 800 while Claudia Rodriguez took first place in the 70 meter dash, Mia Rzepka won the 200 hurdles and Jasmine Coppess won the high jump. Also finishing first was the 400 relay team of Emma Finn, Machan, Rzepka, and Erika Parkinson took first place.
On Friday at the Bronson Invitational the boys track team took home the 2nd place trophy. Dylan Targgart won the shot put while Matt Gipple took first place in the 110 and 220 dashes. Also winning was the 440 yard relay team.
The Girls team placed 3rd in Bronson. Elka Machan placed first in the two mile while Marissa Cox won the mile.
