COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater B.P.U. Board of Directors will be asked on Tuesday to approve monthly rate increases for Lifeline Basic and Expanded Basic cable service.
After a review of programming costs and sales revenue, it’s being recommended that Lifeline Basic go up from $17.70 to $25.50 while Expanded Basic would go up from $61.80 to $67.80.
Bulk rates would also go up due to the increases in Lifeline Basic and Expanded Basic rates.
Meanwhile, Coldwater B.P.U. will no longer be offering pay per view movie or special events channels as of May 31, 2016.
iN DEMAND has decided to cease delivery of movie channels as of that date due to the amount of streaming technology and the increasing amount of video content that is available online.
If the board approves the rate increases, they will be forwarded to the City Council for their action.
