COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Altrusa International of Branch County recently awarded four scholarships.
The recipients were Cynthia O’Rourke who received $2,000 from the Louise Wallace Scholarship Fund and who is seeking a bachelor’s degree in business along with Kelsie Eichler, Lori Hardy and Lea Zwart who each received $1,000 scholarships as they pursue health career degrees.
Applicants were selected on the basis of financial need and history of community service. They are Branch County residents and are considered non-traditional students who are pursuing post‐secondary education.
Organizers say the scholarships are intended to help recipients get a fresh start, make a career change or advance in their field.
