COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Now that the warmer weather has settled in, Coldwater City Manager Jeff Budd is asking residents to maintain their property and be respectful of their neighbors.
He says the Neighborhood Services Department has issued 550 grass notices and 105 junk violation notices since April 1, 2016.
Budd adds that the Coldwater Police Department issued over 70 warning letters to residents who were found to be parking in their front yard or parking in violation of the ordinance.
He says in his report for Monday’s meeting of the Coldwater City Council that it’s unfortunate that they have to spend staff time in this manner, but it is necessary to eliminate blight and to keep neighborhoods intact.
