COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Memorial Day on Monday will feature a number of observances in Branch County to remember those who have fallen in service to our country.
Ceremonies in Coldwater’s Four Corners Park will be at 8:30 a.m. A parade of walking and motorized units will head west on Chicago Street from the 4-Corners Park starting at 9:15 a.m.
The Lost At Sea Dedication at 9:45 a.m. will take place again on the bridge near the Willows on the west side of Coldwater. There will be other ceremonies in the old and new portions of Oak Grove Cemetery. The Gathering of Flags War Memorial ceremony on Flag Hill in the new portion of the cemetery will start at 10:40 a.m.
AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB will begin live coverage of the Memorial Day ceremonies at 8 a.m. Monday from the Four Corners Park.
One of the largest Memorial Day parades in the area will kick off in Union City at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The nearly one hour parade will be followed by a service at Riverside Cemetery. The parade will pause at the Broadway Street Bridge for a ceremony honoring the Navy and Coast Guard.
In Bronson, the American Legion will hold a short ceremony at 9:30 a.m. at the Bronson Cemetery before it finishes at St Mary’s Cemetery.
Quincy will be having their Memorial Day parade at 11 a.m. It will start at the Quincy American Legion post. A ceremony will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
