COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -It was a day to remember those who gave their lives for America. Memorial Day observances were held throughout Branch County on Monday.
Ceremonies were held in Coldwater’s Four Corners Park and Oak Grove Cemetery. Lt Colonel Jason Edwards, a 1992 Coldwater High School graduate, was the keynote speaker at both locations.
Union City had one of the largest Memorial Day parades in the area and a service at Riverside Cemetery.
The Bronson American Legion held ceremonies at the Bronson Cemetery and the St Mary’s Cemetery.
Quincy’s Memorial Day parade was marred by an incident involving a member of the Branch County Sheriff’s Department Posse.
