COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater girls soccer program celebrated another successful season at their annual awards banquet Monday night.
For the 4th straight year, the varsity girls team was named Academic All State by the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association. Seniors Megan Hoath, Mara Bockheim, Maggie Pool, and Amanda Daoud also received Individual Academic All State awards.
Named to the Coaches Association All District Team were Megan Hoath, Madison Marsh, Nadia Kiersey, Jasmine Wellet, Carlee Larimer, and Malorie Rzepka. Rzepka was also named to the All Region Team.
Rzepka and Madison Marsh were named to the Interstate 8 All Conference Team, while Megan Hoath and Jasmine Wellet were named Honorable Mention. Interstate 8 All Academic awards went to Hoath, Marsh, Rzepka, Wellet, Maggie Pool, Amanda Daoud, Carlee Larimer, Bracy Groshko, and Mara Bockheim.
Selected Most Valuable Player by her teammates was sophomore Jasmine Wellet. Madison Marsh and Malorie Rzepka were selected as Best Offensive Players, Wellet as Best Defensive Player, Carlee Larimer as Hardest Worker, Mara Bockheim and Meagen Taylor as Most Improved, Rzepka as Rookie of the Year, and Meagan Hoath received the Coach’s Cardinal Way Award.
The varsity team finished with a 10-6-5 overall record.
Jayda Kelly was named Most Valuable Player and Best Defensive Player for the junior varsity team. Carlie Wilson was selected Best Offensive Player, Elise Leggett as Hardest Worker, and Andrea Campos as Most Improved.
The junior varsity team finished its season with an 8-9-2 record.
