COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Community Health Center of Branch County School Tele-health Program team, Southern Michigan Bank & Trust representatives and members of the Geiger family met at CHC Cardinal Connect recently for a $200,000 gift from the Geiger family in honor and celebration of their parents Marjorie and William Geiger.
The Geigers were married in July 1964. They farmed land and milked cows in Branch County.
Marjorie passed away in 2011 and William passed away about three years later. They made a decision in life to leave a legacy for their family. One of the organizations they chose to support was the Community Health Center Foundation.
Working with the trust department at Southern Michigan Bank & Trust, the family joined forces to make the difficult decision of where to designate the funds. Enter the CHC School Tele-health Program which opened in August 2014 with the goal of improving access to healthcare for adolescents in Branch County.
The Geigers gift is the largest one given to the CHC School Tele-health Program.
