SHERMAN TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Mendon man was injured Thursday night when his motorcycle was struck by a car in St. Joseph County.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says a 16-year-old from Troy, Michigan was slowing down on Shimmel Road to turn onto Featherstone Road at about 9:50 p.m. when the teenager’s car struck the motorcycle driven by 63-year-old Mark Stephenson.
Seatbelts were worn and the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. The teen was cited by Failing to Yield.
Stephenson was taken by Life Care Ambulance to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment.
